Ballaman wind farm is located in Co. Wexford, north of Ferns. Set in an area of agricultural grazing near the townlands of Moneydurtlow and Ballaman, the land consists mostly of farmland and a quarry area.
The site underwent significant public consultation before and during its development. A full planning application was lodged in 2009. Planning permission was granted in September 2010.
Construction began in 2011. The Wind Farm began operating and producing emission free electricity at the start of 2013.
The project is part owned and operated by Directors of Highfield Energy.
